Fun Weekend
We just got back from a fun weekend in St. George. It was our first multiple day outing in our new trailer. We went with Amy, Dave and family and a few families from their neighborhood. The kids have been looking forward to it for weeks and we all had a lot of fun--with the exception of the drive. We spent most of the time in the swimming pool--it wasn't really camping but I have to say I really enjoyed staying at the rv park. We'll definitely be doing that again. It is my kind of camping. We drove through Zion National Park one day. The rest of the group went into the park a second day but our kids were tired so we just decided to stay back and swim some more. Ashlyn and Logan learned to swim on this trip and wanted to live in the pool. I am pretty sure Ashlyn sprouted gills. She would swim the width of the pool but never bothered learning how to take a breath. I would call her a fish but she preferred Mermaid. I wish I could post pictures/video but I forgot to take my camera on the trip. We ended the trip learning how to do glitter toes pedicures--Ashlyn was in heaven!! I don't know if that was a good idea though, I am going to have to set aside a half hour every day for Ashlyn's daily manicure/pedicure instead of 5 minutes. We all had fun spending time with family and new friends.

Super Star

Ashlyn is convinced that we have built a stage just for her. She spends a lot of time dancing and singing on the new "stage". Our neighbors have even commented on it. She is going to be very disappointed when the deck is finished. I don't think she will like the railing obstructing her audience's view.
We can't decide who is enjoying the deck more Ashlyn or Foster. Foster thinks it is his look out. We're so glad we spent the money so that the 2 noisiest are content. I hope they are still happy next week.
I do change her clothes occasionally. This is her new favorite dress she would wear it everyday if we let her.
Spring Fling
Ashlyn had her preschool program last Friday. She has been singing the songs all around the house for the past month. During the program she was her usual animated self. She did a great job!
It is hard to believe that her 1st year of preschool has already come to an end and that she only has one year left. She is growing up too fast.

Baseball

The boys are both playing baseball. Logan is playing coach pitch and Connor is playing Little League. They are both doing very well and both are loving it. Connor is playing pitcher and 1st base. He likes both postitions but I wish he was playing anything but pitcher. It is too stressful for me. Logan rotates positions. He has hit everytime he has been up to bat--They get 5 tries to hit it. He thinks he has to slide into every base. Connor hit 2 times last game and was able to score 1 run. Unfortunately we didn't record either.
Soccer
Logan is playing soccer again. He really started in April but because of the weather, he has only played a couple of games. He scored 3 goals this past game. I was too busy video taping the Diva singing and missed Logans goal but you can watch him celebrate. All of his goals this time were from far away. It always surprises him when they go in. I think he is just trying to kick it as hard as he can and is happy if it makes it in.

Portraits

I told the kids that the only thing I wanted from them for my birthday was a new portrait of them together. Getting pictures taken is always an adventure. The kids dread it. I told them that I would pay for this gift but if they couldn't smile and cooperate that they would have to buy me a present with their own money--nice huh? Well it worked. We have never had a portrait session go so well and so fast. Almost all of the pictures turned out. It was amazing. This might become a tradition.

Changes phase 1

We are finally getting around to getting a deck put on our house. The kids think it is the greatest thing ever. Who knew that a deck could bring kids so much happiness. I am just happy that we have stairs to the back yard again. The deck is finished and the roof should go on next week. It will be nice to spend the summer nights out on the covered deck. Hopefully our phase 2 pictures won't have a 2-toned fence.
