Traitor?

Our good friends the Sargent's brought this costume back from Nebraska for Ashlyn's birthday. They are the friends that we go to Utah football games with, but, they are the accomplices to her defection. She wasn't excited at first, we would like to think it was because she is so loyal to Utah. I think it was actually because she thought she would rather have a Barbie than a costume. Once she put it on she didn't want to take it off. If you ask me, there is nothing she loves more than her costumes.

Dress-up

Ashlyn and her friends love to dress up. Rarely does a play date go by without multiple costume changes. In these pictures they are ballerinas dancing to Swan Lake.

Easter Morning

We had a week long of fun Easter/Spring Break activites. The boys got out of school at 1:30 on April 3 and didn't have to go back until April 13. We went to Monsters vs. Aliens, the dinosaur park and had many play dates. The kids painted their traditional wooden egg and dyed eggs at Grandpa and Grandma Hatch's the week before Easter. The kids slept over and then the Easter Bunny visited. They had to suffer the entire day waiting (until after dinner) when everyone would be there. I thought we all might go insane. They had a lot of fun and found a lot of money. The South Weber always has their egg hunt the Monday before Easter. The kids were separted into their age groups. Ashlyn was old enough to go in Logan's group this year but Connor was in his own group--that is why there are no pictures of Connor. Ashlyn was the smart one in the 4-6 age group. All the other kids ran clear to the end of the field but Ashlyn had the pick of the candy right next to the parents. She could have had a ton of candy but luckily for us she was very particular in what she picked up. She still ended up with a lot more than anyone else. One Easter the Easter Bunny visited them again and we had our family egg hunt. It was fun to have the kids home all week but it is nice to get back to our normal schedules.
